Some CT based generators have 2 gas turbines, axially in-line, with a double ended generator/alternator centered between them. The Pratt & Whitney model calls this a Twin-Pac. In this arrangement one Free Turbine requires a clockwise rotation, and the other Free Turbine requires a counter-clockwise rotation. Both may be coupled directly to the generator or via an over-running clutch for synchronous condenser operations.
Wind Turbines control system controls Pitch of blades to maintain optimum speed in all wind conditions, if wind is too fast, turbine's brakes will be automatically engaged to slow it down or even stop it in case of storms, if the brakes or control system fails, it will rotate freely and ultimately breakdown under stress from large centrifugal forces.
Pelton invented a free jet water turbine called the Pelton wheel or Pelton turbine
When a wave hits a free boundary, it reflects back in the opposite direction. The wave's amplitude and phase may change depending on the nature of the boundary.
A gas turbine engine will usually yield more power by weight than a piston engine. Main downside is that it can't be throttled very well. Energy efficiency isn't all that good to start with, and will drop right down if it has to be operated outside its optimum range.
that wind is free :D
free-man, free-woman
In order to rotate images in Pixlr, you will need to go to "edit". Then, you will need to go to "editor" and click on "free transform". You can then drag the mouse in either direction to rotate the picture.
if in gravity environment it points opposite to the direction it wants to move. That is the force is uphill, parallel to the inclined surface. due to applied force. Under an applied force, again, it points opposite to the direction it wants to move
A compass utilizes magnetism to indicate direction by aligning itself with the Earth's magnetic field. The needle inside the compass is a magnet that is free to rotate, and it points towards the Earth's magnetic north pole. This allows the compass to show the direction of north, south, east, and west based on the orientation of the needle.
A free market economy
A compass, because the magnet's North pole will rotate until it points to the Earth's North pole.
The opposite transitive action of capture is "release." (free, let go)
