In the Control Panel, double-click the 'Sounds and Audio Devices' icon to launch the 'Sounds and Audio Devices Properties' box. Under the 'Volume' tab, put a tick in the box labelled 'Place volume icon in the taskbar'.
It can be found in the Control Panel. You want the selection called "Audio Devices and Sound" which in Windows 7 can be found under "Hardware and Sound" in here I believe you can set the volume. More importantly, there should be a checkbox to show the icon in your system tray. It may be in an "Advanced" tab, I'm not sure. You'll need to look around a little bit. If it is unchecked when you fin it, then check it and click "ok." If it is already checked, then uncheck it and click "apply," then check the box again and click "ok." If the icon doesn't show up, reboot your computer. It should show now.
Simply double-click the Volume icon in the bottom right corner. If the icon is not there, then:XP: Go to Start>Control Panel>Sounds, Speech, and Audio Devices>Sounds and Audio Devices. Under the Volumetab, check Place volume icon in the taskbar.Vista: Right-click the taskbar and click Properties. Under the Notification Area tab, check Volume under system icons. If it cant be checked, restart your computer and try again.7: Right-click the taskbar and click Properties. Under the Taskbar tab, click Customize. Set Volume to Show icon and notification. If you can't, restart your computer and try again.Once you have done the above, you should be able to open the Volume Control Panel. If not, then your hardware might need to be reinstalled.
In Windows XPOn the Start menu:Select Control PanelIn Control Panel:Be sure you are in Classic View (all Control Panel icons are showing)If not, under Control Panel in the left pane, select Switch to Classic ViewSelect Sounds and Audio Devices. In the Sounds and Audio Devices Properties dialog box, on the Volume tab:Adjust the sound volume by moving the Device volumeslider.Select OK.orThe volume control icon in the Taskbar: Select the volume control icon in the Taskbar.Move the slider up (to increase volume) or down (to decrease volume).http://www.microsoft.com/enable/training/windowsvista/volume.aspxhttp://www.microsoft.com/enable/training/windowsxp/soundvolume.aspx

If you're running windows, you can bring up the volume control by doing this: click on Start and then Run, type in 'sndvol32' (without the quotes), and click OK. To ensure the volume icon is in the area by the clock, click on Start and then Control Panel, double click on 'Sounds and Audio Devices', and then check the box labeled 'Place volume icon in the task bar'. If you don't see the 'Sounds and Audio Devices' item, first click on 'Sounds, Speech, and Audio Devices' then click on 'Sounds and Audio Devices'.
Click the volume icon on the right side of the taskbar, then click the mute speakers icon.
when you turn the computer on and every thing loads up, in the bottom right hand corner there should be a volume icon. click the icon and scroll the level of the volume down . HOPE YOU GOT IT :)
If your printer icon has disappeared, it could be due to several reasons. Check if the printer is turned on and properly connected to your computer. You can also try restarting your computer and printer to refresh the connection. If the icon is still missing, ensure that the printer driver is installed and up to date, or check the settings in your operating system's control panel or settings menu.
The way to adjust you volume in this case is to go through the Control Panel. To get to the Control Panel you must follow the proceeding steps: 1) Open the Start Menu 2) Click on "Control Panel" At this point your panel will look one of two ways; either a bunch of thumbnails with names and processes or a list of general subjects. If the control panel looks like a bunch of thumbnails find the icon that says "Sounds and Audio Devices". From there a little menu should pop up, and the volume control should be right there in the menu. If the control panel looks like a list select the option that says, "Sounds, Speech, and Audio Devices". This will change the window of the control panel and allow you to see even more options. At this point you can either select the option "Adjust Volume Settings (if you have XP)" or "Sounds and Audio Devices". Again a little menu should pop up and you can adjust your volume from there. You have now successfully changed the volume of your computer without using the icon on the system tray.
Goto, START Menu > Control Panel, then click on Sounds and Audio Devices... In the Volume tab click on "Place Volume Icon on Task Bar". Adjust the volume controls in the mixer to reset the Modem level. After installing a modem, the original settings have probably been lost or reset.
Left click "Start" on the bottom left side of your desktop. Then left click "Control Panel" in the right hand side of the "Start" menu. In "Control Panel", scroll down to "Sounds and Audio Devices" and left click on it. On the "Volume" tab in the menue that pops up, click the box that says "Place volume icon in the task bar". Left click "Apply" then "OK" and you should see the volume icon on the bottom right hand side of your desktop. You can now click on the icon to adjust your volume level. Note: I have my computer set up to use single clicks. If your computer is not set that way, you will need to use "double" clicks when called for above. Hope this helps.
