The real damage that can occur while you suffer from head lice are not the bugs themselves. While they may be itchy and a pain to get rid of, they don't actually do much harm. The harmful effects of head lice come with the treatment you choose. Harsh chemicals sometimes do damage to the scalp. Use carefully and follow all instructions, including age appropriateness for children. Always follow the label and keep chemicals away from children when not in use. I prefer to use more organic methods such as mayonnaise and vinigar.

∙ 11y agoHead lice are harmful and annoying cause they keep on sucking out the blood from your scalp and when they walk through your hair it tickles and makes you want to scratch and mostly is itchy when it's sucking blood from the scalp.
PS I have never had lice but I studied this once so its good answer not the best
