it's time for a tune up, I've owned two 1997 Chevy tahoes and both times spark plug and wires and distribitor cap replacement fixed the starting problem both times.
if it is broken then take it in to the shop
sounds like pluged catalitic converter or egr valve
I had a similar problem turns out the Alternator was bad.
Dead battery. Recharge it and see if it will start. If not, remove the battery and go have it tested.
No. My first guess is the fuel filter got plugged up from some stuff on the bottom of the gas tank. Try replacing it.
I didn't realize it was posting the question, I thought it was searching the database.I was driving along and my 98 Chevy Tahoe just quite. I assume it is the fuel pump and was looking for related discussions.
Check fuse. if that does not work broken wire.
For some reason i think my anti lock system is on because my tahoe wont turn on anymore can somebody help me
It can be your switch or the fuse try checking the fuse first.
No it wont. These are 2 very different radios and different trucks. Your best bet is to call the dealer with your VIN # and ask for part numbers and model years of compatible radios.- TechJK -----------------------------

Seized Engine? Flat spot on starter? Bad Starter solenoid? Loose or corroded battery cable? Bad ignition switch? Bad neutral or clutch safety switch?
You are missing fuel or spark.
I was told it could be bad fuel pump.
if it is cranking but wont start check for spark, fuel, air and compression.
Out of gas?
