if teeth will not chew food properly the food will not break down into smaller substance and the process of ingestion will not be completed
Ingestion meaning the physical/initial intake of food, this is often referred to the teeth as they are the first/primary place where food ingestion occurs and later futhers this into digestion e.g) the stomach and enzymic brake down of foods.
if no one had teeth your food would have to be half eaten for you then fed to you...aren't you happy you have teeth...lol
Ingestion is food being taken into the body
Ingestion is the process of getting food into an animals mouth. Various frogs feed in different ways. Some have long and stick tongues, which they shoot out at prey to capture it at a distance. Other frogs capture by simple ambush. Frogs then have a series of maxillary teeth to grind food for swallowing.
first stage of food processing. ingestion is the process as taking food into the body through mouth ( as eating)
The acts of getting food and eating it collectively are called ingestion
Because, without teeth, your mouth would have no other device to chew with.

in your mouth
you can eat soft food but when you eat hard food it is impossible
Ingestion is the taking in of food or other substances. Digestion refers to the breakdown of food into smaller particles, capable of later absorbtion. In humans, the mouth is the portal of "ingestion", whereas most" digestion" occurs in the stomach and bowel.
Teeth are extremely important in mechanical digestion of food. It is very difficult to digest the large pieces of food. Only properly masticated food is easily digested. You do not have other organs, which can grind food like your teeth do. Nature has made teeth very hard for this function.
