A good candidate is The Crankshaft Position (CKP) sensor; a magnetic transducer mounted on the engine block adjacent to a pulse wheel located on the crankshaft. By monitoring the crankshaft mounted pulse wheel, the CKP is the primary sensor for ignition information to the Powertrain Control Module (PCM).

Disconnect battery, jack up passenger side of car in the front, look under the engine on passenger side, remove the bolts, disconnect the wiring and remove. Install in the reverse order.

mine is a 94 same trans buy a 4R70w out of police interceptor and youu get the beefed up version, plus spare parts and engine.Trans is bad.
