because Australia has less people because its too hot and this means that in most areas not much food can grow. Australia is large but huge chunks of it are desert and in many areas the vast majority of the population lives on the coastline. Whereas in much of the rest of Asia there is intensive farming with monsoon rains allowing food to grow. Nevertheless there are areas of Asia that are sparsely populated, Siberia, Mongolia, the deserts of Western China, the Tibetan Plateau etc
