I think you mean Traitor. Arnold attempted to betray the West Point to the British until his plot was discovered.
Benedict Arnold had plotted to give control of West Point(an American Military Depot) to the British in exchange for 10,000 pounds sterling and a Brigadier's ranking in the British army
SOME PEOPLE SAY HIS WIFE TOLD HIM TO BETRAY HIS COUNTRY he fought the battle of concord by himself and failed
Benedict Arnold was primarily driven by two fears. Firstly, he feared being overlooked and not receiving the recognition and promotions he believed he deserved for his actions in the Revolutionary War. Secondly, he feared being captured and executed by the British if his plans to betray the American cause were discovered.
Benedict Arnold's contact with plans concealed in his boots about the West Point was Major John Andre. Andre, a British officer, was working as a spy and liaising with Arnold to betray the American fort at West Point. Andre was captured by Patriots and subsequently hanged for his role in the plot.
