Answer'In the last days scoffers shall come...' Repeatedly Christians see people willingly fulfilling Bible prophecy before their very eyes. This is encouraging to Christians but also sad, because God loves everyone and wants all to repent. The very first words of Satan recorded in scripture were a mis-quoting and mis-application of the word of God. Christians also see the same things being done today, not only by those who are avowedly skeptics and willfully anti-Christian, but by people who have the name of Christ. This happened in the Old Testament when false prophets arose and said the Israelites would not go into captivity and all would be well. They were wrong and God's true prophets were, like God, not mocked although they did suffer at times and many were killed. In all of this we see the truth of the saying 'the only thing we learn from history is that we don't learn from history.'

The Book of Revelation is for Christians a source of great comfort (as indeed is the indwelling Spirit) for Christians as it details the final acts of judgment upon all who willfully choose to receive it by rejecting the truth. We see the truth of this final act played out repeatedly even now, when the most obvious things are repeatedly rejected on the basis of the enthronement of human reason and the intolerance and bigotry with which Christians are labeled is practiced by the very persons who uttered it. Nevertheless 'He gives more grace' and so even this can be 'counted all joy', when ungodly men 'wrest the scriptures to their own destruction'.

Christianity is only good because it is true. If Jesus who said "I am the way, the truth and the life" was either deranged, or a liar, or mistaken about Himself then His teaching about morality and everything else falls with Him. A person who claims to be the Son of God cannot be good if He is anything other than what He claims to be, since the truth He claims to present is nothing but a sham and a lie.

On the other hand, if Jesus was who He said He was, and if He really did rise from the dead, as quite a number of witnesses claimed He did, then this alone is the reason why Christianity is good. A lie cannot change lives. A lie cannot make ignorant fisherman into bold and convincing proclaimers of truth. A lie does not inspire people to die horrible deaths when they know they are going to their death for a hollow sham.

If Christianity is true, and Jesus really did rise from the dead, then other claims He made, that His power can transform lives, that Christians who follow Him can be free from fear and can live for others and not themselves - even though they are humans and certainly have human failings- all this makes Christianity good. Many religions contain very, very, many good teachings and much wisdom and common sense, even elevating and inspiring thoughts. The only thing that makes Christianity different is that its founder is still living, that He died and rose the victor over death, which victory He shares with those who choose to follow Him. This truth, and the fact that it is true, this alone makes Christianity good.

The positive aspects of Christianity are eternal life, justice, truth and the promise that even in this world we are looked after if we seek first the kingdom of God.

However there is a saying "There can be no gain without pain." This is true in everything we do even Christianity. Jesus said "If any man would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me."

Christianity is right because it is the only true, well I don't want to call it a religion because its a relationship with the amazing Creator of everything in existence, God love us more than anyone else ever could, but we must remain true to Him. Some people(even preachers) say that we can still sin and still be Christians, but that is not true, we have to refrain from sinning, which is difficult but with the grace of God we can, and everyone stumbles, but if we sincerely ask forgiveness from Jesus Christ, He is gracious and compassionate enough to grant us forgiveness. Jesus came and died for us on the cross so that we didn't have to. No one ca prove if any religion(or Atheism) is right. There is simply not enough evidence for any case. Oh, and every religion ( and atheism) thinks that they what they believe in is true. Why else would people belong to different religions(or atheism)? NOTE: Thus says the Yahweh my Elohim, "Feed the flock for slaughter, "whose owners slaughter them and feel no guilt; those who sell them say, 'Blessed be Yahweh, for I am rich'; and their shepherds do not pity them. "For I will no longer pity the inhabitants of the land," says Yahweh. "But indeed I will give everyone into his neighbor's hand and into the hand of his king. They shall attack the land, and I will not deliver them from their hand." So I fed the flock for slaughter, in particular the poor of the flock." (Zechariah 11:4-7)

Even worse than Israel's long dispersion from her land out among the nations, Zechariah spoke of an antimessiah yet to come. That false shepherd/Saul would lead Israel into her final "time of Jacob's trouble." This terrible trail would nearly destroy Israel and much of the rest of the world as well.

And Yahweh said to me, "Next, take for yourself the implements of a foolish shepherd. "For indeed I will raise up a shepherd in the land who will not care for those who are cut off, nor seek the young, nor heal those that are broken, nor feed those that still stand. But he will eat the flesh of the fat and tear their hooves in pieces. "Woe to the worthless shepherd, Who leaves the flock! A sword shall be against his arm And against his right eye; His arm shall completely wither, And his right eye shall be totally blinded." (11:15-17)

Yahshua Himself reiterated that this antimessiah, Paul the "man of sin," would come to deceive Israel one last time in a future day. Speaking to the Jews in Jerusalem during the last days of His life He said,

"You do not have His word abiding in you, because whom He sent, Him you do not believe. "You search the Scriptures, for in them you think you have eternal life; and these are they which testify of Me. "But you are not willing to come to Me that you may have life. "I do not receive honor from men. "But I know you, that you do not have the love of Yahweh in you. "I have come in My Father's name, and you do not receive Me; if another comes in his own name, him you will receive. "How can you believe, who receive honor from one another, and do not seek the honor that comes from the only Elohim? "Do not think that I shall accuse you to the Father; there is one who accuses you--Moses, in whom you trust. "For if you believed Moses, you would believe Me; for he wrote about Me. "But if you do not believe his writings, how will you believe My words?" (John 5:38-47)

Whether something is 'sacred' or not, has largely to do with whether you recognize someone or something as an authority for determining something as 'sacred'.

From a Bible's standpoint, many things are 'sacred' because Jehovah God has determined them as 'sacred'.

For example: a) Life is sacred. Simply because God created it. Anything God creates should be regarded as sacred, and thus should be respected. b) Marriage is sacred, because God designated it that way. A man is to love and respect his wife; and she / him likewise. c) The Bible is sacred; or should we say, God's words are sacred. Any rules, guidelines, coming from God should be considered with respect. (burning a worn-out old Bible should not be considered lack of respect - - unless it is meant to be such by the people burning it out of disrespect.)

d) Likewise; with Christianity. Originally God made himself known to mankind through various people, including prophets. Then God sent his only-begotten son to repurchase mankind from their dismal future, inherited from Adam and Eve.

Christ started a different way of life. This way of life should be considered as 'sacred' because it also originally issues forth from God. He that respects the Father, should also respect his sent-forth representative, Jesus; and the things he tells us from the Father.

Christianity encompasses the best values of Judaism, particularly the ten commandments, as well as new commandments of its own, such as caring for the poor and loving one's enemies. Christianity encompasses the highest values found in all major religions, as in the following examples:

  • An early Mesopotamian epic advises people to:
worship their god every day, and
To the feeble show kindness
Do not insult the downtrodden,
Do charitable deeds, render service all your days,
Do not utter libel, speak what is of good report,
Do not say evil things, speak well of people.
  • Zoroastrians believe that virtue belonged to the natural order; vice is its betrayal. The ethical code that Zoroaster gave his followers to live by demanded of them good thoughts, good words and good deeds.
  • Daoism says that those who are without self-interest are the ones whose interests succeed.

Condition of Christianity?

I don't know if i am answering the right question here. There is no condition of christianity. Jesus died to save us from death - no matter who we are or what we've done. We have the bible to guide us on the right path but everyone screws up. So no, there is no condition of christianity, everyone belongs to God and he loves everyone. It's up to us whether we accept him.

What important change did Paul make to Christianity?

Paul did not make any changes to Christianity. Jesus Christ is the Author of Christianity and it did not need changing, but there were times when Paul had to explain the "right" way that God wanted us to go. Christianity was just an infant in Paul's time and I am sure Paul prayed to God many times to go the right direction. At one time he and the leaders at the Jerusalem church had a council to be sure they agreed on what Christ wanted them to do.

Where was Christianity big?

Was? Christianity is still a major world religion. China, for example, has an estimated 60-70 MILLION Christians. I'd call that pretty big. Christianity in ancient times spread all over the Middle East and then kept right on spreading.
