Q: Is Egypt dry?

A: It is arid. This means that it is dry. Not necessarily hot or cold, but just dry. It also hardly rains and the only way to get water is from cactuses.

However, there are places in Egypt along the Nile or close to the Mediterranean Sea (like Alexandria) where it is very humid, even though it still does not rain often.
