Okay here's the thing, your question is phrased wrong however I shall try to answer it (You have asked the equivalent of "Why is Christian celebrated", or "Why is Jewish celebrated?"). However if you mean why is Islam celebrated, it is not. However they're certain things in the religion that are. Such as Eid for example (Abraham was asked to kill his son, however God...well yeah it is important). To Christians they celebrate the birth of Christ. It all comes down to the people themselves. Everyone has beliefs that they believe in. We celebrate our birthdays because? Well we are older? There is no valid reason for celebrating anything really...So yeah. Your question doesn't have a solid answer, but you don't have a solid question either.
