There is no real information in The Bible about Nun, the father of Joshua. However, some believe that the name Nun may be derived from older stories from Israel's neighbours. In Egyptian belief, Nun was the primordal god and father of the sun god, Ra. The biblical account points to Joshua, son of Nun, as originally a Hebrew sun god, who evolved in legend into a mortal. The clearest evidence is where Joshua commanded the sun and moon to stand still until the battle was finished (Joshua 10:12).
Yehoshua's father Nun is known in the Midrash to have spear-headed a campaign by the tribe of Ephraim to leave Egypt early.
The attempt was unsuccessful when the Plishtim (Philistines) captured and killed them.
(Exodus 33:11)  Jehovah spoke to Moses face-to-face, just as one man would speak to another man. When he returned to the camp, Joshua the son of Nun, his minister and attendant, would not depart from the tent.
Num:13:16: These are the names of the men which Moses sent to spy out the land. And Moses called Oshea the son of Nun Jehoshua.
Nun in the Old Testament is Joshua's father.
"Nun" is not typically used to refer to someone's father. In some religious contexts, "Nun" may refer to a clergy member in certain traditions, such as in the Catholic Church or in certain monastic orders. However, without additional context, it is unclear who specifically you are referring to as "Nun father."
The ocean Nun is often called his father and the consort of Nun is Nunet.
