St. Jude is the patron saint of hopeless causes. I remember reading Danny Thomas' story of the promise he made to God when he was down and out, long before he 'made it'.
The promise, he made, was to build and found a Hospital named St. Judes Children's Hospital that would care and treat youngsters of all ages while in pursuit of finding cures for cancers.

∙ 13y agoHe was experieincing a crisis in his life and he prayed to St Jude for guidance. St. Jude is the Catholic patron saint of hopeless causes. He promised that if the crisis resolved he would do something to honor the saint.
