He ate all of his children so they couldn't take over, but Rhea, his wife, put Zeus in a cave so Kronos couldn't eat him.

Zeus chopped Kronos to pieces and lobbed him in the pit of Tartarus.

Zeus started the reign of the greek gods (Olympians).
