Where is the fuel pressure regulator located on a 96 Chevy Tahoe?

I think the fuel pump is the regulator on fuel injected engines. The FPR is located on the driver's side of the engine, it has a vacuum hose going to it and is held on with a spring clamp similar to AC connector clamp. On most 1996 Chevy Tahoes the fuel pressure regulator is actually inside the intake manifold. You must remove the intake manifold to replace it.

On a standard fuel injected 4.3l V-6 the regulator is located under the intake plentum next to the central fuel injector. If u have never had one of these engines apart it can be a little tricky, use caution when setting the plentum back on.

How do you know if fuel presure regulator is bad on a 1993 Cadillac Seville STS 4.6 V 8?

The fuel pressure regulator in GM engines is very simple to rebuild. Just disconnect it from the throttle body and replace the gaskets. The parts are sold at any auto parts store. My experience is usually that there is a problem with the fuel pump, which causes low pressure at the regulator. Check the fuel pump first.
