In his teens, Capone was hired by Torrio and his partner, Frankie Yale, and a bouncer in a saloon-brothel they ran in Brooklyn. It was here that Capone picked up his moniker of "Scareface Al," after his left cheek was slashed in an altercation over a girl with a hoodlum named Frank Galluccio. Later he would tell acquaintances and reporters that he got the wound serving in the "Lost Battalion" in France in World War I, but he was never even in the service.

Hes famous because he distributed alcohol during prohibition. He brought it in from Canada and distributing it through Chicago. I believe he was also the cause of the St.Valentines day Massacere. Watch the movie The Untouchables. Elliot Ness was the federal agent who brought down Capone.
