What is the most explosive substance ever?

An explosion generated by antimatter is four times more powerful then a nuclear bomb

Would an antimatter bomb be more powerful than a nuke?

If such a device could be made, it would be a lot more powerful than a nuke of similar size, as ALL the mass of the antimatter and neutralising matter would be anhialated and turned to energy, instead of a small fraction of total mass of uranium, plutonium etc. Currently not a real threat to the world as antimatter is extremely expensive to produce and the total amount manufactured to date would only power a 60 watt light bulb for a few hours, and cost $ billions to produce. Ds1ao: with on gram of antimatter you can make a 43 kiloton bomb (more than three times as powerful as the bomb dropped on Hiroshima

How come the universe is made of matter and not antimatter?

That is not currently known. There is a slight assymetry between matter and antimatter, but so far, it seems that this assymetry is not enough to explain why there is only matter, and hardly any antimatter, in the Universe. Without such an assymetry, there wouldn't be either matter or antimatter in the Universe - just radiation. For more information about what is known, and what isn't, check the Wikipedia article on "Baryon asymmetry".

Is a hydrogen bomb the most powerful?

With a fission bomb (A-bomb) there is a limit of how large it can be. With a fusion bomb (H-bomb), there is NO limit to how large one can be. There may be a limit as to the size of a DELIVERABLE fusion bomb. But an H-bomb that isn't intended to be moved anywhere doesn't have a yield (size/power) limit. So yes, an H bomb is the most powerful weapon that mankind has create, to date. An antimatter bomb could be more powerful, but mankind has yet been able to collect, handle, store antimatter in sufficient amounts as to create a powerful weapon.

Is antimatter real?

Yes it is. This does not mean that it has the properties ascribed to it in any particular work of fiction (Star Trek's version is reasonably realistic, Green Lantern's version is hopelessly silly), but yes, something by that name does really exist. ************************************************************************* Antimatter is real. Some scientists believe that antimatter is a perfect symmetry to matter. Antimatter is very dangerous and powerful. When matter and antimatter collide, an annihilation happens. Things around it will disappear.

What are two questions physicists have regarding antimatter?

1. Why is there more matter than antimatter in the Universe? Or: Why is there matter at all? (If there were the same amount of matter and antimatter, and it came into contact, it would quickly get destroyed. 2. If antimatter is so abundant, how come we've never come in contact with it or have been able to observe it?

What is the role of gravitational force between matter and antimatter?

Sir Issac Newton proposed theory of gravity. He formulated the relation between the force of gravity and the mass and the distance between the masses. This theory failed to explain as to why there is attraction between the masses and not repulsion. With every attraction you have to have corresponding repulsion. That problem is resolved with the discovery of antimatter. So like attracts like. So matter attracts matter and antimatter attracts antimatter. This fallows that matter repel antimatter. So force of gravity between the two masses of matter or two masses of antimatter is directly proportional to the product of masses or anti-masses (Antimatter). The force of repulsion will be directly proportional to the product of mass and anti-mass (Antimatter). It fallows that the force of repulsion is inversely proportional to square of distance between the two.

Can a dragon breathe antimatter?

They can DEFINITELY breathe antimatter

What is the power output of the anti-matter reactor?

This question presupposes the existence of an antimatter reactor. As far as I know, no such reactor exists, or has even been designed. Antimatter reacts with matter to produce energy with virtually no matter remaining. Such a reaction is thousands of times more powerful as nuclear reactions we have used on this planet. But antimatter is difficult to make and nearly impossible to handle. As soon as it touches anything, it is gone. There is a lovely quote from a researcher who has made antimatter often. He said that if all the antimatter made at CERN were put together and reacted with matter, the resulting energy would power a light bulb for a few seconds. This even though it is the most powerful reaction we know of. There just is not enough of it to react usefully.
