Hey this is Anaiz if your betta fish wont eat its because you or someone must have over feed it.now you need to leave it alone not feed it for a day then after that you feed it in the morning when you wake up or at 9:00-10:00am no later than 12:00pm then before you go to bed or at 9:00pm-10:00pm anywayz or if you seen the belly bigger check the it for any swelling if so just get some complete water conditioner from wardley and change it water and leave it alone also change its water every two weeks and feed it every day but two times with only and only two betta food pebbles or one blood worm but if it was up ti me i would take it to the vet asap LOVE ANAIZ,WRITE ME BACK AT miamimami13@Yahoo.com ps.good luck write me to tell me how it is BYE

Stress/fear will make bettas lose color. This applies more to females than males. This usually reveals the black horizontal stripes across her entire body. This is not to be mistaken with fear stripes that usually occur when a female is placed with a male. Those are horizantal bars which are not at all defined or even qualified to be "stripes". Constipation/dropsy/bloating will cause the fishes stomache to get lighter in color (stretching)
