They're not "unfairly separated."

You participated in the creation of a human being. It is now your responsibility to provide for that human being until it becomes an adult.

Courts generally assign custody based on what they think is best for the child. If you disagree, you can always petition to have it changed.

They assign child support based on the relative ability of the parents to pay.

The economics and culture tends to work out that the mother gets custody and the father pays most of the child support. That's not "unfair", or at least it's no more "unfair" than the fact that women tend to be paid less than men doing the exact same job. If you're not complaining about the one, you don't get to complain about the other.

Who has legal custody of a minor child when parents have never married in Michigan?

The mother is presumed to have custody unless there is a court order saying otherwise.

What are the laws in Texas regarding a parent that does not want to pay child support but doesn't want visitation either?

In every state a parent is required to pay to support their child, and they cannot dodge that by saying they don't want to see the kid. I would file for custody and get it in writing that the other parent is not requesting visitation, then file for support.

Court date coming up to determine paternity for a 9 year old boy if you are the father if you apply for custody will you still have to pay child support while going through custody battle?

You will probably have to pay child support until the decision is made and the court decides what to do. That means you pay until there is a court order saying you no longer pay. Court orders do not necessarily make sense but they are the law.

How can a mother get her son back from the father who stole him after she let him have visitation they were never married but his name is on the birth certificate?

You have custody unless there is a court order saying otherwise. The father kidnapped him. Since you were never married he would have to go to court to get his parental rights and custody, visitation and pay child support. If he has not done that he has no rights to the child. So call the police.

Can the mother go to the father house and get her child if there isn't a court order saying that the dad has full custody?

No, the mother is no more entitled to custody than the father. If the father currently has temporary or implied custody, then a custody order must first be established before you can get partial custody or visitation rights. For example, if you moved out and left the child in the care of the father, you forfeited your custody rights until an official custody order has been established.

If a father won physical custody of two girls and mother is appealing saying that she has cleaned up her act what are fathers chances of maintaining physical custody at appeal?

If father was awarded custody before and his circumstances have not changed, unless the mother's situation has improved dramatically the father has a good chance of maintaining custody.

Can a single father move out of the state of Oklahoma with his child if he does not have full custody?

No. If the child's' mother calls the police you could loss custody of your child and possible go to jail. If I was you I would contact a lawyer who specializes in child custody cases. If you can get a notarized letter from the mother saying it is okay and giving you full custody.

Does the father have any custodial rights in Texas if the mother has custody but the child lives with the grandparents?

Do you have a court order saying you have visitation? Are you the biological father? If so then YES. Go back to court and file for custody.
