They have different religious values, a different regard for what education should be, a different understanding of what human rights are, a different understanding of what history is, a different understanding of the worth of human life, different languages, different economic systems, different foods, and a different societal organization.
Aside from these trifles, their cultures are very similar.
Each side is unwilling to make serious concessions to permit the survival and thriving of the opposite culture and society.

Answer 1Almost all modern Palestinians consider themselves Arabs, specifically fellahin, which is usually translated as "Settled Arabs" as opposed to nomadic Arabs like the Bedouin.Answer 2 Palestinians are part of the Greater Syrian ethnicity, usually referred to as Levantine Arabs; levantine in their genetic ancestry from inhabitants of the region such as Canaanites, ancient Hebrews and the Greek Philistines, and Arab in terms of their language, although not their genetics. 'Palestinian' and sometimes 'Palestinian Arab' is usually referred to as a separate ethnicity, especially the latter, as Palestinians have developed a unique culture and linguistic dialect of Arabic, and as a result of their heritage spanning Jews, Samaritans, Greeks, Turks and European Crusaders, they can be genetically seperated from other Levantines/Arabs as a result of their significant Greek (Philistine) blood, which is not present elsewhere. Therefore, the ethnic group of Palestinians is Palestinian Arab, part of the broader Levantine ethnicity shared with Lebanese, Jordanians and Syrians.

Israel doesn't have many customs of its own apart from what appears in its religious Jewish texts. Like most colonial entities and settler nation its culture is defined by that of those it has colonized. For example, shisha (water pipes) and falafel are considered by Israelis to be part of Israeli culture but were in fact taken from the indigineous Palestinians who once lived there. Some Jewish weddings have arm to arm circular dancing very much like other Mediterranean countries and not unlike the traditional dabke dance of the indigioneous Palestinians.
In the main, they aren't citizens. Generally, they share little in common. They have no common culture, common language, common worldview, common territorial desires, common religious views, and common economic views. In short, they just happen to be two different groups of people who want the same land.
•Social barrier effects are characteristics that differentiate human groups and potentially limit interaction between them, therefore limiting the spread of culture. Some examples of this are race, religion, language.

the Hummingbird has no significance in Jewish culture or ancient Hebrew culture. In fact, there is no Hebrew word for Hummingbird. Israelis call it a Yonek dvash (honey sucker).
Culture depends on people having a shared history. If my neighbour knows what it is like to be kicked off his land and had his children shot for throwing stones then we would both have a shared history or culture.
