Fade from Edit menu allows you to change Opacity level and blend mode of layer after painting for example using brush tool or applying filter from Filter menu.
Layer > Layer Style.
Layer > New > Background from layer to convert regular layer to Background.
From Layer > Layer Style > Drop Shadow.
You can easily add blur using depth of Field in Guided Edit or from Filter > Blur > Gaussian Blur, Motion Blur... When using blur filter from Filter menu first duplicate layer with image, apply blur filter then create layer mask and use Gradient Tool on layer mask (set foreground background colors to black/white) to restrict blur only to some areas of the image.
im an artist from Deviant art and i use photoshop everyday, for more detailed istructions look for tutorials on deviantart ^^ the best thing i find is to download a filter called Eliminate White, put it into your photoshop and open it, the open your lineart and use the filter, then lock the transparency on the layer and go over it with a large black brush, then make layers underneath to colour on ^^
One layer.
Background.
First click on layer with pixels you want to warp (layer can not be background layer, must be regular layer), in Photoshop CS5 and newer go to Edit > Puppet Warp or Edit > Transform > Warp.
Double click on the 'fx' beside the layer. For Photoshop Elements tutorials click the link below: http://absolute-extra.blogspot.com/
# Add a layer # Paste your graphics into the new layer
Create a text layer, type out your text, then click the checkmark to confirm you're finished writing. Then double-click to the right of the layer name to open up the Layer Style window from which you can apply various effects. You can also apply other effects to your text by using Filters from the Filter menu, but you will first need to rastarize the layer. You can rastarize a layer by right clicking on it in the Layers pallate, then selecting rastarize from the pop-up menu; photoshop should also ask you if you want to rastarize the layer if you try to apply a filter to a layer that hasn't been rastarized yet. Make sure your text is exactly as you want it or create a duplicate layer before rastarizing. Once you rastarize the layer, you will no longer be able to change the spelling or wording with the text tool.
