Why is global warming a worldwide problem?

A:The clue here is in the question. Global warming is needed to keep us warm. The Carbon Dioxide gas and water vapour in the upper atmosphere keep an insulating layer of heat within the earth. It would fall to around -30 degrees Celsius everywhere on earth- making the planet inhospitable. The issue today is that this greenhouse effect is being made worse by humans adding CO2 to the atmosphere- something that has never occurred on a large scale at all except over the last 150-200 years as the Industrial Revolution began.

Global Warming is a chronic hazard (worldwide issue) because it will in the long-run affect everyone. If the world's oceans rise the predicted metre by 2050, millions of people will become displaced as their nations sink under the waves- making then in effect environmental refugees. There will be less land available to farm as dry areas turn to desert, and wet areas will become wetter. Significant changes will have to be made to prevent all the ice melting etc. This will take the combined effort of the world.

A:Global warming will wipe out animals in the polar ice caps, which are currently melting because greenhouse gases (caused by global warming) are slowly warming up the world. If the polar ice caps melt then the sea level will raise rapidly, causing thousands of people to die,polar bears living there will die,because all the ice will melt. The United Nations claims rise of up to 1mm every decade is possible.In the next few years half Bangladesh will be under water and most of the icelands.
