Why is it best not to do drugs?

Obviously you do not want to stay away from all drugs. Legally prescribed medical drugs should be obtained when necessary. Some drugs like alcohol, nicotine and caffeine are legal in our society and can be used in a proper and limited fashion.

Street drugs and illegally obtained medical drugs (including self medication drugs from the internet) have several problems:

• Purchase, sale, possession and use are illegal
• Proper use to avoid side effects and damage re not used
• Composition cannot be determined
• Interaction with food and other (legal) drugs cannot be controlled
• Delivery systems (needles etc) can transmit disease
• Costs are prohibitive

Because Most drugs such as cannabis, cocaine and Ecstasy are very bad for your body and brain however some drugs such as paracetamol and aspirin have a better side affect which reduce pain and anxiety.

This is more a topic of personal morality in my opinion. Some view drug users as people with issues, who need a day to day crutch to deal with past or present stress and problems. However drugs don't effect everyone the same way, some people can use many different kinds of drugs on a day to day basis without major ramifications in their lives. Everyone's brain is different, some people are born with a brain that thinks more logically, with the left hemisphere of the brain being the dominant one (these types people ive noticed don't handle psychedelic drugs very well, and feel much more comfortable with there brain not so blitzed). On the other side of the spectrum are those who have a dominant right hemisphere, these are people with very creative minds who can actually benefit from the use of drugs, (LSD was what made the Beatles so great, am i right?)

Drugs like Heroin, Cocaine, Meth, and Alcohol are quite different from Weed and LSD. These drugs can make the user feel as though their problems have disappeared, and can make their pain vanish. That is why these drugs are so addictive in particular, they don't serve to release the brains mental barriers, they help the user hide from the real world. While it is possible to use each of them without getting "addicted" you must have a very strong mind not to give into the temptation to get high. For example, I used to be a weed smoker, I kept my job, school, and family life together very well all the while blazing a quarter sack everyday. Then my mother past away, and every since I've been using pain killers like Morphine, Oxycontin, and Heroin to ease the pain, because these are the only drugs that I found helped me cope.

Drug use is a slippery slope, one day you're innocently experimenting with them, then the next day you might be stealing blank checks from your grandpa while hes asleep. If you're going to start experimenting with drugs be conscious not to let yourself get to the point to where you have to be high to be happy, that's when things begin to go down hill...
