Now I want you to try this on a regular day that is not raining ok. Leave the AC off, and drive around for a little while, not too long because of gas prices of course, then stop. Immediatley check for water behind oil pan being carful not to burn ones hand. That's it, the air conditioner was off and when it is on, the compressor creates condinsation that drips nothing but harmless water into unthinkable places. also check your oil, if its thick brown and gunkie, well you may have a cracked crank case and your engine will surely lock up on that drive we were talking about earlier.
the only true way repair the leaking oil pan it to remove the pan and change the gasket their is no quick fix for a leaking oil pan if you do it right the first time it wont bie you in the but latter
if oil leaks from it! have a look on the floor area if it's leaking there will be a stain.
same thing happened to me. it is the antifreeze return line. rubber hose. access the oil filter spot and connects radiator to water pump i think.
yes if its leaking or if u replace the oil pan
You never need to replace an oil pan unless it has been damaged and is leaking.
The 2002 maxima has a problem with the oil pan rusting out. Replace the oil pan and gasket and it should be good to go
it could be leaking from some were above and its driping on the pan causing it to look like its leaking from the pan or if you over tourk the bolts it will warp the pan causing it to leak
Yes, but you'll have to refill.
Possible, but more likely a leaking oil filter or valve cover
First try snugging up the oil pan bolts but if that doesn't work you'll have to change the oil pan gasket.
valve cover gasket
Bottom of the engine, just behind the oil pan.Bottom of the engine, just behind the oil pan.
