It depends on the question. Some questions are so vague or poorly written (I realise that not everyone has English as a first language) that it is bypassed. Some questions are written in text and are so difficult to read that they too are likely to be ignored. Many questions simply need more information - remember, we are not mind-readers - so give as much information as you can.
Many of the questions are poorly worded and only make sense to the person asking. Some are confusing. Some are like yours and poorly worded but decipherable. But what it comes down to is people don't know how to find what they need to know and ask a question here.
I wonder the same thing, haha. I think it may be because the people asking the questions are poorly educated, don't speak English fluently, don't care about proper grammar, are too young to be on the site or people are just oblivious (:
Some people are just not very good at spelling or grammar. There are people of all ages asking questions. Just have patience and try to answer them to the best of your ability.
often because the questions are so poorly written, or because there are easily found sites which already have good answers on them.
Unfortunately not everyone can be as literate as you. Blame the education systems if you like?
They would much rather have you making these questions, than having an expensive and beautiful site.
Yes, I just answered yours. Questions are answered all the time. Except for questions that are worded so poorly that it is impossible to provide an answer.
Because the book was so poorly written most copies were unsold.
ARLES is a city in France, so, a poorly written 'L' might be the problem.
Past, but it could be better written.
Anyone can answer on WikiAnswers. That means there are people from many different educational and cultural backgrounds. Someone may know everything there is to know about mechanics, but English is not their first language. Someone may know everything there is to know about hamsters, but they haven't made it through the 7th grade. Someone may know everything there is to know about math, but they were just never that good in grammar. Many people come on the site just to improve the answers. The answer might be totally correct, but poorly written. Someone else that doesn't know anything about the topic, but is great with grammar can come along and improve it. If you feel the answer is poorly written, we encourage you to make it a little better.
