For the correct answer to this question, about Engelbert. He is not Anglo-Indian. If you need to find anything about him, go to his Website; www.engelbert.com and you can email the webmaster; Jacquiline Kempf, she will give you the correct answers to any questions about him. You can also go into the biography, at the website, where he speaks about his life, and also, look for his autobiography, "Whats in a Name" published 2004.

  • I'm not saying you're incorrect about what was written. And I'm no longer insisting that the man has Indian blood. But sometimes celebrities fudge their ethnicities to avoid prejudice, and forge evidence for personal gains. Sort of like Michael Jackson, who gradually went from black to white in skin color. Perhaps I'll try to dig up a birth record for Engelbert, or whatever, to find a definite answer. Have a nice day.

Just a note: Engelbert will tell you he has been dying his hair "black" since he was in his 20s, so if you think that is part of his "indian"' look, think again!

I am of Indian descent and Indian people just know what others with Indian lineage look like (Is the person above implying that EH dyed his hair from blonde to brown? Give me a break--that's even more insulting). Engelbert Humperdinck clearly and obviously is either Indian or of Indian admixture. At the very least, he is so obviously a person of color and not an Anglo-Saxon. I actually now have no interest in listening to any of his music after realizing he is filled with internalized racism. Whatever your ethnic and racial heritage you should be proud of it.
