Just a note: Engelbert will tell you he has been dying his hair "black" since he was in his 20s, so if you think that is part of his "indian"' look, think again!
I am of Indian descent and Indian people just know what others with Indian lineage look like (Is the person above implying that EH dyed his hair from blonde to brown? Give me a break--that's even more insulting). Engelbert Humperdinck clearly and obviously is either Indian or of Indian admixture. At the very least, he is so obviously a person of color and not an Anglo-Saxon. I actually now have no interest in listening to any of his music after realizing he is filled with internalized racism. Whatever your ethnic and racial heritage you should be proud of it.
As of 12/28/09, Engelbert's next concert is scheduled for Wendover, Nevada 1/23/10. His tour schedule is listed on his website, engelbert.com

And I'm no longer insisting that the man has Indian blood. But sometimes celebrities fudge their ethnicities to avoid prejudice, and forge evidence for personal gains. Sort of like Michael Jackson, who gradually went from black to white in skin color. Perhaps I'll try to dig up a birth record for Engelbert, or whatever, to find a definite answer.
