Language is one of the main tools uses to interact and to express ideas, emotions, knowledge, memories and values depending on each culture. Language is also the main vehicle for cultural expression essential for individual and collective identity. It passed from one generation to the other to give identity and pride with a sense of belonging to a community .In a multicultural society the dominant language in the majority group becomes the social interact with the minority cultural groups who however maintain their own language to interact with their own community. In my opinion, we are all members of a social group and we are members of the `society´ as a whole. People interact in many ways and communication but a language is just about the most common and among the most important way to exchange ideas, knowledge. Language is one of the items that every culture has and it is always respected by all the group members of the culture. Like for example for the ethnic minority groups that may have a language of their own community, for them the language is a cornerstone in their culture.

When a business is going international it needs to be proficient in the host country language otherwise the company could lose potential or actual deals because of misunderstandings through language or culture and it could cost a company a lot of money dollars. Deals could be lost because of a lack of understanding on both sides result in loss of return on investment in the business infrastructure overseas, actual business revenue loss, and loss of an important perception of "competitive edge." Developing new business, especially negotiating complex arrangements, increasingly requires a full knowledge of the language and culture of the region. It is getting more and more difficult to continue to sell products in Asia by only using English, for example. The company should hire people that can speak both English and Mandarin.
