How do you tell if a country is ledc or medc?
An LEDC is a lower economically developed country, so basically, if a country is very poor and many people in the population who are poor, it is an LEDC, like Britain and the USA are MEDCs (more economically developed countries), yet Kenya and Bangladesh are LEDCs.

MEDC means more economically developed country and it copes with natural disasters better than LEDC (less economically developed country) because they have more amount of money to rebuild their country. LEDC doesn't have enough money to repair their country from the disasters

The boxing day tsunami affected mainly LEDCs such as Bangladesh Sri Lanka and the maldives. However Newly Industalised countries were also affected such as India and Indonesia. MEDCs are better prepared anyway.

Ledc's pay the debts you owe to the richer Medc's or Medc's let the Ledc's off with the debts so the countries can help their country and stop thinking about the debts!

It can also be common in MEDC's but people associate it with Less economically developed countries.When LEDC's need money they tend to take loans from MEDC's. The problem is, they have to pay back around x3 more. This means they are almost always in debt, making it extremely hard for them to develop.Hope I helped. :)
