What is the definition of Temparture?

The rate of movement of molecules is called temprature.the instrument used to measure the temperature is called thermometer.thermo came from thermal means heat and meter means to measure.there are different kinds of thermometer one is known as Celsius or centigrade in which the water freezes at zero and boils at 100c the another thermometer mainly known as clinical thermometer but actual name is frontier thermometer in which the water freezes at 32 and boils at 212. there are some other thermometers also named rummer and kelvin. heat is another thing it is the form of energy,it is measured in calories the defination of calorie is as under: the amount of heat required to raise the temperature of 1 gram of water to 1 degree centigrade is called 1 calorie.it is a lower value of heat normally it is measured in kilo calories.

Who invented the thermometer in 1596?

Several inventors invented a version of the thermoscope at the same time. In 1593, Galileo Galilei invented a rudimentary water thermoscope, which for the first time, allowed temperature variations to be measured. Today, Galileo's inventioni is called the Galileo Thermometer, even though by definition it was really a thermoscope. It was a container filled with bulbs of varying mass, each with a temperature marking, the buoyancy of water changes with temperature, some of the bulbs sink while others float, the lowest bulb indicated what temperature it was. In 1612, the Italian inventor Santorio Santorio became the first inventor to put a numerical scale on his thermoscope. It was perhaps the first crude clinical thermometer, as it was designed to be place in a patient's mouth for temperature taking. Both Galilei's and Santorio's instruments were not very accurate. In 1654, the first enclosed liquid-in-a-glass thermometer was invented by the Grand Duke of Tuscany, Ferdinand II. The Duke used alcohol as his liquid. However, it was still inaccurate and used no standardized scale.Fahrenheit Scale - Daniel Gabriel FahrenheitWhat can be considered the first modern thermometer, the mercury thermometer with a standardized scale, was invented by Daniel Gabriel Fahrenheit in 1714. Daniel Gabriel Fahrenheit was the German physicist who invented a alcohol thermometer in 1709, and the mercury thermometer in 1714. In 1724, he introduced the standard temperature scale that bears his name - Fahrenheit Scale - that was used to record changes in temperature in an accurate fashion.

Eye - foreign object in?

Alternative NamesRemoving a particle in the eyeInformationThe eye will often clear itself of tiny objects, like eyelashes and sand, through blinking and tearing. If not, take these steps:Do not rub the eye. Wash your hands before examining it.Examine the eye in a well-lighted area. To find the object, look up and down, then from side to side.If you can't find the object, grasp the lower eyelid and gently pull down on it to look under the lower eyelid. To look under the upper lid, you can place a cotton-tipped swab on the outside of the upper lid and gently flip the lid over the cotton swab.If the object is on an eyelid, try to gently flush it out with water. If that does not work, try touching a second cotton-tipped swab to the object to remove it.If the object is on the eye, try gently rinsing the eye with water. It may help to use an eye dropper positioned above the outer corner of the eye. Do NOT touch the eye itself with the cotton swab.If you have been hammering, grinding, or otherwise exposed to possible high-velocity metal fragments, do NOT attempt any removal. Go to the nearest emergency room immediately.A scratchy feeling or other minor discomfort may continue after removing eyelashes and other tiny objects. This will go away within a day or two. If you continue to have discomfort or blurred vision, get medical help. For larger objects or other eye emergencies, see eye emergency first aid.ReferencesKnoop KJ, Dennis WR, Hedges JR. What is the medical term meaning a combination of clinical lab tests performed on urine specimen?

Urinalysis is the typical chemical evaluation of urine via a combination of tests. A microbiologic evaluation could be called urine culture and sensitivity (urine C&S) or MCS- Microscopy, culture and sensitivity of urine. In the US, microscopy is typically ordered with the U/A, not the C&S.

Why is lab thermometer can't be used as clinical and vice - varsa?

A clinical thermometer typically shows a maximum reading while a lab thermometer typically shows the temperature right now. When you take a thermometer out of a patients mouth (or other place that you are measuring the temperature) you most often want the maximum temperature to keep showing until you reset the instrument. When using a lab oratory thermometer you want the instrument to react as quickly as possible so that changes (up and down) can be noticed and recorded.
