Probably either too much gas or too little gas in the system.
If at idle you hear the click click or you watch the compressor and
the electric clutch is going on and off continuously then there is too little gas.
If it doesn't ever cycle on/off then too much gas .
Did you add gas recently?
If neither is the problem...then something else is wrong.
