Why is my 96 explorer sputtering and dying at idle after I just changed the o2 sensors?

Are there any codes that are coming up? If so then you need to read them. Usually when the vehicle keeps dying it will cause a trouble code. All I can say is that the Idle Air Controller is supposed to regulate the throttle to keep the vehicle running at idle. It could also be a vacuum leak. Just hard to say.
