This is a problem that plagues all the N-body cars of these years from 1992-1998. You'll just have to stuff towels into the firewall on the passenger's side right where it meets the carpet and change it every two weeks or so. My 1995 Skylark has the same problem and GM never recalled it. The Skylark is a good car but had I known of this, I'd have gotten the Regal instead.
if it's not raining, the heater core is leaking
The drain line for the cowl is stopped up or the windshield is leaking.
Floor mats for 1967 Buick Special-Special Deluxe-Skylark-GS340-GS400 Also California GS were all Rubber with the White Buick Tri Shield and were color matched to the interior of the car.
could the airconditioner be leaking lots of water on the floor board of the car
It could be the heater core leaking.
sounds like the drain on your ac evaporator core is plugged up. A service station should be able to blow this out. I own a 97 Buick Skylark with this problem (saturated floors on passenger front and back) but the water does seem to accumulate more after during and after a rain.
I have water leaking into a 1997 Buick LeSabre problem. I cannot find where it comes into the car. It pools in the rear passenger seat driver's side floor. It can happen even while the car is parked.
When you press and hold the brake pedal it will slowly move to the floor. It can also have a catastrophic failure and go straight to the floor with no stopping ability at all. If you hold the brake pedal down and it slowly moves to the floor any at all, replace the master cylinder.
Yes. Buick floor mats are available directly from Buick on their website. The Buick website has a section called Accessories which features floor mats available for purchase.
It's a design defect with these cars. I couldn't find a fix for it anywhere. I just stuff towels behind the firewall where it meets the carpet and change it every two weeks.
it is leaking
