It's a design defect with these cars. I couldn't find a fix for it anywhere. I just stuff towels behind the firewall where it meets the carpet and change it every two weeks.
How do you replace the water pump and where is it located on a 1996 Buick Skylark V6
The location of a water pump on a 1995 Buick Skylark 4 cylinder is next to the engine. It is found directly under the alternator.
You can bypass your 1988 Buick Skylark heater core by removing the heater core water supply hoses. There will be to water hoses. Connect the water hoses to each other.
The thermostat on 4 cylinder, 2.3L Buick Skylark is on the bottom of the water pump. Remove the metal water line connected to the bottom of the water pump to find it. Remember the new O-ring with the new thermostat.
sounds like the drain on your ac evaporator core is plugged up. A service station should be able to blow this out. I own a 97 Buick Skylark with this problem (saturated floors on passenger front and back) but the water does seem to accumulate more after during and after a rain.
you have to take the timing chain off
From hoses attached to the wipers.
That is an indication that head gasket is leaking. yes!
on the back of the engine down bottom. gm Jim
Between the water pump and firewall on passenger side
No, it's the same engine so it should fit.
It could be the radiator, the hoses, a leaking coolant tank or the water pump.
