There are several possibilities:
* the fuel pressure regulator could be stuck, * the EGR valve could be bad * one or both oxygen sensors could be bad * an injector could be sticking/leaking * then there's the ever-popular and often ignored clogged air filter or other intake air restriction * It could be a MAP sensor, throttle position sensor, engine temperature sensor or other sensor problem... Sounds like it's time to put on your diagnostic hat.
Start with the air filter, then if that's not the problem, go straight to a code scanner. Plug in to the data port and see what the computer is saying.
what should be my gap on a sparkplug for a Chevy vortec 5.7 350? Some set them at .060, but I set mine at .055 as they get older they will burn down to .060 but anywhere in that range just put them all the same gap
vibration problem. possibly u joint. has the drive line/axle been dropped/removed? If yes, was it marked before removed and put back exactly the same as removed? Tranny mount could be bad.
Assuming it's the 4.3L vortec, it's in the front below and to the left of the throttle. It's buried down in there so hard to see and even harder to get to.
The alternator may be going bad.
In my experience with my Chevy it was a ground wire
bad fuel injector spider
