Engine power loss and oil in a spark plug boot is caused by one of two things, either a cracked valve covor gasket that is letting oil seep into the boot at the top........or even worse a blown head gasket, i would sugguest a compression test to determine the problem

I have Power loss in 93 ford ranger 3.0 what is it?

Power loss in a 93 Ford Ranger 3.0 is often caused by a dirty hair filter, weak spark, and worn plugs. Performing an engine tune-up will often restore much of the power loss.

Power brakes use engine vacuum to get their power. If the engine is out of tune, the loss of vacuum will cause it to run rough. Try changing the spark plugs.

What will cause lack of power and oil on the spark plugs in a 1995 Pontiac Sunfire 2.2L Engine?

What are the effects of a spark plug not working?

A spark plug is used to ignite the fuel/air mixture inside the cylinder of an internal combustion engine. If the spark plug isn't working, the cylinder won't fire. In a multi-cylinder engine, this will result in rough running and loss of power. In a small, single cylinder engine, this will result in the inability to start the engine.

Does coil packs affect the performance of the car?

Yes. A coil pack controls the power going to it's attached spark plug in your engine. If the pack is weak, your engine may not get the spark it needs to ignite the air/fuel mixture. This can cause loss of power, poor fuel milage, or the vehicle not to start at all.

Why is my 2000 Chevy venture check engine light blinking?

When the engine is not firing on all cyclinders or has bad spark or lean or rich fuel it will cause the light to flash. Mine did this and I had a loss of power. I replaced the spark plugs and wires. It stopped the light and I got my power back as well as got more mpg.
