you over filled the oil lower the level to half way between full and low line and you should have no more problems
^^^^ this is only partially right. All Harley Davidson motorcycles have 2 holes at the top of the engine called engine breather holes. Installed in these holes are hollow bolts that allow excess oil to flow through them. the holes are there to vent the crank case so the engine doesn't, for lack of a better term, BLOW UP. All harleys leak oil from this spot just a little bit, especially if you have stage 1 or 2 air intake assembly or after market high flow intakes. Most STOCK intake set ups have a couple of rubber redirecting tubes to let this "breathed out" oil collect in the intake assembly. When i had my 883 (currently have a 1200C) i used a feminine products pad inside my air box to sop up the oil. Rediculous? yes, Effective? even bigger yes. OF COURSE DONT FORGET TO CHANGE THE PAD REGULARLY, that is if you choose to go with this method of collection.
with a full 1200 swap they will.

One can purchase a Harley Davidson 1200 Sportster directly from the manufacturer. However, this will be quite expensive. It is better to look at a local dealer for a lower price.
The heads, valves, and pistons are different. They also changed carburetors in 1988 to CV, which is the first year for the 1200.
