Well, Oligarchs or in other word aristocrats, thought that there were the best so they over threw the monarch or once again in other words the king. Then they became the rulers and made every citizen pay up to them, but if they could not pay they would have to sell themselves to slavery. The citizens didn't like it so they went to the soldiers and they over threw them and made a new goverment: Tyranny. (tear-ann-E)

∙ 12y agoInstead of free elections in these countries the elections are controlled and only one candidate is offered. Any kind of opposition is suppressed. It is a rule of a minority- a small group of people - over the majority, who do not have a say in the government and the law-making process.
