  • Hand books don't come with rearing children so it's up to both parents to work together on the discipline factor. Some kids are easily persuaded to behave simply by sending them to their rooms or taking away their privileges for a time. Other kids can be stubborn; sulk; kick; scream and are a product of the lack of discipline because parents are reminded that spanking is not good. A couple of good whacks on the butt (not using anything, but an open hand on top of clothing) with no twisting of arms never hurt a child yet and shows them who is boss in the household. Once discipline is learned from the parent or parents the child will behave properly (but children are simply not perfect all the time nor are adults.)
