Quaid-e-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah is known as the "Father of the Nation" in Pakistan because he was the main driving force behind the creation of Pakistan as an independent nation for the Muslims of India. He is widely revered in Pakistan for his tireless efforts to gain a separate homeland for the Muslims of India through political means. Through his speeches and negotiations, Jinnah was able to rally the Muslim community of India and convince the British government to grant Pakistan independence in 1947.
