because soil is vital to healthy plant growth. soil is useless in the bottom of a lake and at the bottom of storn drains
Almost everything you eat can be traced back to the soil. Fruits and vegetables come from plants grown in soil. Even the milk in ice cream comes from cows that ate plants growing in soil.
water is becoming so scarce in many places and other things are lacking so it is rare to have usable soil.when you have it, its like gold to some people who dont get it very often. :)
Soil Conservation is important to the economy because soil gives us many things, like the ability to grow plants, which gives us food. Also there are some plants, like cotton, that help us make clothing. Without soil we would not be able to live. Another reason is that soil also supports grass which cows, pigs, horses, and a number of other animals graze on. So without soil we would not have any meat(Hamburgers,bacon,wings,etc.). Soil also supports life. Worms live in the soil and help make the soil fertile of these reasons supports why soil conservation is important.

There are three types of soil conservation: countour plowing, conservation plowing, and crop rotation.
Soil conservation protects soil from from various factors such as erosion. The benefits of conserving soil are ensuring soil organisms, such as the earthworm, remains unharmed. Soil conservation also maintains a good soil PH which ensures that things such as crops continue to grow.
Soil is important to man because man needs soil to grow crops and plants. If there was no crops or plants the animals would no be able to survive therefore producing no meat for humans etc. Soil is also important for gardening.
