The ABS light comes on whenever the ABS control module detects a problem with a sensor or the actuator. Unfortunately, the control module can be At Fault and the light can come on with nothing being wrong with the sensors. But first, connect a code reader that is capable of reading your ABS codes. You might have to go to a brake shop to get that done. See if you can find a place locally that advertises that they will check your brakes free. Call and ask them what it will cost to have the ABS code read. If you have the code read, at least it will give you an idea of what is wrong and how much it will cost.
