A:The Bible is often said to be objective history because it is believed to be the word of God, without error or human failing. Until around two hundred years ago, even biblical scholars generally held the same view, but the results of Archaeology and scholarly research now militate against this view.

A:

The Bible contains historical accounts which have no other purpose if it were not an objective historical account because the primary objective of the Bible was to teach next generation of followers (Israel) peoples what worked and did not work and what their prior generations suffered and flourished due to what pleased God and what did not please God. Thus, because all accounts were written to instruct through eye witness "case studies", any form of embellishment would not serve any purpose as the "lessons learned" would not be preserved nor passed down. For example, the current Harvard Business School case studies are written with reality to instruct future business leaders and Case Law is done the same way.

Second of all, many of the historic accounts were legal documents similar for example written by King David, King Solomon and would have been codified.

The Hebrew, Aramaic, Greek authors were also in many cases very hardcore Warriors, Priests, Judges and Kings and thus speaking directly with God they would want to keep as accurate accounts as possible as the archivists of the Israel walk and rejection of their God. This tribe of people are very conservative and the objective was preservation of knowledge and dissemination of "what worked" to future generations. Any sort of embellishment would cause future generations to stumble and as a result would not fulfill their mandate.

For example, certain time periods before the worldwide flood were completely lost had it not been for the retained historic accounts. The objective was to retain.

The books were written by individuals who had first hand and/or Spiritually God inspired accounts of history which would add additional scrutiny.

Thus to answer, the Bible is objective history because the authors were Holy men and some of which was dictated from God Himself.

Any arguments that the winners of the war write history do not fit the Biblical account because there were many cases where the Israelites did not win the wars. They were taken into slavery. Jesus was crucified. Thus, the historical record itself has natural checks and balances.

The Bible however, also contains prophecy which are a different set of writings altogether. So far, these have been proven accurate to date.

Where in bible you can find the name Barack Obama?

You can't, because it is not there. The Bible was written about events in the middle east that occurred more than 5,000 years ago, and modern American political campaigns did not get mentioned, since America was not yet a country, nor was there the kind of democracy we have today. Much of what is in the Scriptures focuses on the founding of Judaism (Hebrew Bible) and the founding of Christianity (New Testament). That said, some conservative preachers have said the Bible predicts certain modern events, but that is their belief and there is no objective evidence to support it.
