mostly to protect it.

though the analogy is limited, if you think of the nucleus as the brain of the cell (as in it controls the cell as the brain controls your body... not that the nucleus can think or anything) if it were to get damaged, through physical abrehsion or the harsh chemicals that are found in other parts of the cell, then the control would break down and the cells would probaly die eventually.

there is also the compartmentalisation theory, as in if you keep everything in compartments (organelles) then you need less proteins in the compartment than you would require in the cell as a whole, before you reach the required concentration.

DNA is a nucleic acid and extremely important for DNA replication. Keeping in the nucleus protects the DNA and doesn't allow DNA to escape or to be easily copied. Is also beneficial in DNA replication(mitosis) and meiosis. Easier and safer division of DNA.

DNA is kept in the nucleus of eukaryotic cells.

What is the site of DNA storage?

DNA is tightly wrapped into chromosomes, and stored within the nucleus of each cell

What is the term for DNA after it has left the nucleus?

The DNA found in the nucleus does not leave the nucleus. Instead, a copy of this DNA is carried on mRNA out of the nucleus and to the ribosomes. By keeping the DNA in the nucleus, it is protected from degradation - so a "master copy" of the instructions can be kept safe.

In which organelle is DNA kept and RNA transcript?

The nucleus stores DNA and is where RNA transcription occurs.

Nucleus

What cell organelle is DNA kept?

It's kept in the nucleus (true for eukyrotes). Bacteria have no cell organelles, thus their DNA lies in the cytoplasm.

Where is DNA kept inside the cell?

Mainly in the nucleus. Some in mitochondria and chloroplasts. But they are not for genetics

Is DNA a nucleus?

The nucleus contains DNA. The DNA is found in the nucleus.

Organelle that manages cell functions in eukaryotic cell?

All cell functions are managed from the nucleus as this is where the code of life, DNA, is kept.

DNA is found in what cellular organelles?

Most DNA is found in the nucleus of a cell.

What organelle also stores DNA?

The nucleus contains most of the DNA in a cell and this DNA is called the chromosomal DNA. It is separated from the rest of the cell by a double layer of membrane. The mitochondria also contain DNA, called the mitochondrial DNA.
