You've got trouble with your heater fan - or the motor that turns it. Same fan for both heat and AC.

yes, if the ac unit has 2 zones, you will need a thermostat for each zone. if the ac unit provides both ac and heat, you can connect a thermostat for each. not a good way to go. better to use 1 therm in that case that has a heat-cool switch on it so the unit is not putting out both heat and ac at the same time.

if the rear ac is working then you probably have a damper door that is inoperative. this is in the heater/evaporator box. so if it isn't working then you will be heating and cooling at the same time out of the heater box.

The thermostat may be stuck open, replace it. No ac belt won't effect the heater.

sounds like the blend doors arent working in the heat/ac plenum. take a look at all your door motors and see if they are connected and working properly
