I can think of a couple of reasons: 1. Less stress in the brake line due to shock, and relative motion beteen the master cylinder (mounted on the firewall) and the distribution block (on my vehicle, mounted on the frame). 2. More brake fluid in the longer brake line, which should absorb then dissipate heat better.
It can be attached to the bottom of the master cylinder or on the drivers side frame between the firewall and the radiator. Follow the brake lines coming out of the master cylinder.
Wheel cylinder stops would keep the wheel cylinder from coming apart.

It's on top of the transmission. Follow the tube coming from the master cylinder.
If its coming from under the chrome cylinder head cover, its the head cover gasket.
Possibly coming from a leaking brake cylinder. Top up fluid and take to a brake shop ASAP.
most o2 sensors on any car are located in the exhaust you should have 1 before that cat and 1 after and they are cylinder shaped with 4 wires coming out
You have a blown / leaking wheel cylinder. Replace wheel cylinder.
replace it,bleed entire system!
The head gasket or actual cylinder head is cracked.
