Why is the call not going through to the tv shopping network on harvest moon ds I am trying to buy the fridge?

I've told someone this before so I'll just copy and paste what i said because i put it in the simplist way possible.I've had that problem too.I went outside and waited till about 10:00 and then watched the shopping channel all the way through until where he stops so all the way through. Then i went in and called at about 10:00 to 11:00 and it worked.
