As close to the engine as is possible. As close to the engine as is possible.
There are Two. One is on or close to the exhaust manifold and the other is after the Catalytic Converter on the exhaust pipe.
The oxygen sensor on a 2004 Honda Accord is found on the exhaust system. They are placed close to the catalytic converter so the sensors can properly read the exhaust flow.
In the exhaust pipe in front of the catalytic converter...close to engine in crossover pipe
look on the exhaust pipe, i think it will be just after the catalytic converter ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- There is more than one. I believe all the 4cyl have 2 and the V6 has 4 I think. There will be one in the exhaust manifold and one close to the catalytic converter.
Bank 1 is the passenger side of the engine Sensor 1 is in the exhaust close to the engine before the exhaust goes through the catalytic converter Sensor 2 is after the exhaust has gone through the catalytic converter ( downstream )
Bank 1 is the passenger side of the engine in your Ford F-250 Sensor 1 is somewhere in the exhaust close to the engine , before the exhaust enters the catalytic converter ( upstream ) Sensor 2 is after the catalytic converter ( downstream )
On a Ford Expedition : Bank 1 is the passenger side of the engine Sensor 1 would be close to the engine BEFORE the exhaust enters the catalytic converter Sensor 2 would be in the exhaust AFTER it exits the catalytic converter
Bank 2 is the drivers side of the engine on your Ford F-150 Sensor 1 is somewhere in the exhaust close to the engine before the exhaust enters the catalytic converter ( upstream ) Sensor 2 is after the catalytic converter ( downstream )
On a 2000 Lincoln Navigator : Bank 2 is the drivers side of the engine Sensor 1 would be close to the engine before the exhaust enter the catalytic converter ( upstream sensor ) Sensor 2 ( downstream sensor ) would be in the exhaust after the exhaust exits the catalytic converter
On a Ford Expedition ( 4.6 and 5.4 ) Bank 1 is the passenger side of the engine Sensor 1 would be close to the engine BEFORE the exhaust enters the catalytic converter Sensor 2 would be AFTER the exhaust has passed through the catalytic converter
Bank 1 is the passenger side of the engine in your Ford Explorer Sensor 1 will be somewhere in the exhaust system , close to the engine , before the exhaust enters the catalytic converter ( upstream )
