left side headlights dim--why?
up means dim light low means high or bright
There should be a roll switch right next to your light switch on your dash to dim the lights with.
turn the knob on the left side of the steering wheel on the dash. It will brighten the dash, and radio lights by turning it to the right and it will dim the lights by turning it to the left.
That is the dash light dimmer control switch.. Rheostat = Dimmer. Bright to dim.
the dim light has a bad ground. it is using the high beems of both lights as the ground. this leads to a voltage drop of about 7 volts on the dim light. then the high beem grounds through the driving lights of a lesser wattage and this leaves a voltage drop of only 3 volts at light so the light seems not to be on but it is , just very very dim. ck your ground going to the dim light!
dial right hand side of the steering wheel
on the left side of dash board there is a little buttom push it in it will pop out turn it to either brighten dim on turn on interior lights
The left headlights are very dim,the wires have been checked all the way. When i check the voltage on the right side i get 12 volts, the left side has barely 11 volts.
The headlights place a larger load on the battery and cause the voltage to drop enough to dim other devices slightly.
A loose or bad ground wire can do that.
It increases the power of light emitted from the tip. If you press the button down, the light will cycle from dim to brighter and then back to dim.
