we have to blame humans and animals

According to Wikipedia:- When humans first arrived on Mauritius, they also brought with them other animals that had not existed on the island before, including dogs, pigs, cats, rats and crab eating macaques which plundered the dodo nests, while humans destroyed the forests where the birds made their homes.

The dodo bird is extinct because when man were alive the cut down all of the trees and dodo birds then had nothing to eat because dodo bird used to eat fruit of the trees of Mauritius island.

ALSO I HAVE NO CLUE !!!

Because it was defenceless. When people arrived on the previously un-peopled island of Mauritius, people walked up to them and clubbed them on the head, and some other animal invaders ate their eggs and young. This drove the dodo to extinction - and the expression 'as dead as a dodo'.

First of all, the dodo bird is already extinct. The dodo bird was fearful of humans and flightless, and that combination allowed them to become easy prey. People migrating to different parts of the world brought animals from their previous homes. These animals tended to attack the dodo.

The dodo is long past becoming extinct: it has been extinct since the late 17th century.

The dodo was not discovered on the Indian ocean island of Mauritius until about the 1590s. It was a bird that had no fear of humans, having not encountered them before, so it was easy for sailors to catch and eat, even though most reports of the meat were that it was tough and sometimes unpalatable (usually due to cooking it for too long). It was a flightless bird, and quite heavy - around 20 kg, so it was not believed to be a fast-moving bird, although scientists differ in opinion on this. This meant it lacked the ability to escape terrestrial predators.

When human settled permanently on Mauritius, they cleared native dodo habitat, destroying nesting grounds. They also introduced various new species, all of which were a threat to the dodo. Dogs and pigs killed the birds; cats and preyed on the young chicks; and Crab-eating Macaques were introduced from Asia - these ate the eggs of the dodo.
