Low coolant? bad thermostat? Heater core plugged, restricted, or airbound? Temperature control not working properly? Water pump not circulating coolant?
Your thermostat is stuck open.
Check the temperature control cable
Well, its a hard quiestion, but to be truthful, there is no cure haha
that's because you have to let get started and you havent used for little and it turns down
sounds like you need some freon.
There may be a stuck vent door or an issue with the heater blower control head.

if this system uses dex-cool flush the system
Possibly low coolant level, or temperature control door either set to cold or not working correctly.
Turn it on high
Check the heater control valve. If it's stuck slightly open, the heater may be fighting against your AC system. BTW, that's the most common reason for the condition you describe.
This would indicate that the system is low on coolant when the gauge is hot. Not enough coolant to service the heater core.
